Can I preview content before I download it?

Sure! You can listen to a ringtone by selecting the Play button or see a larger preview of a wallpaper by clicking on the image. When you decide what you want, simply click the "Get" button next to the item you want.

How much do mobile downloads cost?

You can find the cost of any mobile download next to the item. In general, wallpapers cost $1.99 each while ringtones and most other products cost $2.49 each. Everything you buy from GETMUSIC is "a la carte", which means you are charged only for the individual products you buy. You can buy a single item without being charged a monthly fee.

Are there other costs for downloading or using GETMUSIC on my mobile phone?

Depending on your wireless plan, you may be charged by your wireless carrier for utilizing data traffic for downloading or accessing the GETMUSIC service from your phone. Check with your carrier to see what charges may be applied.

Are Video Clips downloads compatible with my mobile phone?

Not all mobile phones have the capability to play Video Clips. Please check with your carrier to see if your mobile phone supports Video Clips.

BILLING, DOWNLOADING, AND CARRIER SUPPORT Which carriers work with the GETMUSIC service?

The GETMUSIC service currently works on mobile phones from AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint and Verizon Wireless. Other carriers will be added shortly. Customers on pre-paid plans are not supported at this time.

How do I pay for my purchase of a ringtone or other product?

Purchases from GETMUSIC are automatically charged to your wireless phone bill. The charge will show up on your monthly phone bill from your wireless carrier. You are billed only for purchases which were successfully downloaded to your phone. In these cases, a confirmation text message will be sent directly to your mobile phone.

What are the steps to download the product I ordered on my mobile phone after I receive a confirmation message?

Most mobile phones will use these download steps:

  1. Go to your Message Inbox and open the text message sent from 30303 (the GETMUSIC shortcode).
  2. Scroll down the message and highlight the download link in the text message. For some carriers or certain mobile phones, you may need to access the Menu and select the "Go To" option in order to select the link within the message.
  3. Once you’ve selected the link, the download process will start and you'll be prompted to save the content.
  4. When the download is finished, you will receive a confirmation text message that the download was successful.
What should I do when the download arrives on my mobile phone?

After the download is complete, you will be prompted to save it. If you want to use the downloaded ringtone as your default ringtone or set your new wallpaper as your phone background, you'll need to change your personal settings. Many mobile phones will provide the option to 'Store as default', which will immediately set your new download as the default ringtone or wallpaper.

How long should it take for me to receive my download?

It usually takes less than a minute to receive the text message response from GETMUSIC. However, depending on the amount of traffic on your carrier network, it can take up to several minutes to receive your product. If you are in an area with limited or no wireless reception, you may not receive the text message containing your download instructions until you re-enter an area with wireless reception.

Can I transfer my GETMUSIC downloads to another mobile phone?

We are working on ways with our partners that you will eventually be able to transfer the content you purchase from GETMUSIC to other mobile phones.

Will my downloads expire?

Your downloads will not expire as long as you keep the same mobile phone.

TROUBLESHOOTING What if my download gets interrupted?

GETMUSIC maintains a digital locker where your purchased products are stored for 24 hours from the time of purchase. If your download is interrupted or you forget to save the product to your mobile phone, you can re-open the text message and re-download the product. You will not be charged twice for re-downloading the same product.

My download link has arrived, but I can't find it on my cell phone. Where is it?

The download link is in the body of a text message that GETMUSIC sent to your mobile phone. Depending on the brand of your mobile phone or your carrier, this message may be sent to your phone's Message Inbox or other place such as your phone’s browser Inbox.

Why can't I download an item after I click on the link GETMUSIC sent me?

First, check the MENU softkeys to see if there is a GOTO or GO TO LINK option as some mobile devices do not allow you to click on a link contained within a text message. If there is no GOTO option available, your mobile phone may be unable to link to a mobile web page from within a text message. If this is the case, you won’t be able to download content to your mobile phone and won’t be charged. Please check with your wireless carrier to see if your device is enabled and how to access web links from within a text message.

I am unhappy with my order and want my money back, who do I call?

The products you buy from GETMUSIC are charged to your monthly mobile phone bill. GETMUSIC cannot credit your bill directly for purchases you’ve made from GETMUSIC. If you are billed for something you did not order or did not successfully receive, you can contact your wireless carrier for a full credit. Please ensure that you were actually charged for the product before contacting your carrier.

MOBILE LISTS AND ALERTS How do I sign up for news, tour info, and personal message alerts from artists?

Artists provide their fans with a couple of different ways to sign up for mobile alerts. Often times you can find this information on the artist website. You may be asked for your information on an online sign up form or they will provide a keyword that you will text to 30303.

I’m entering the right keyword, but I keep getting the message "Sorry, we did not understand your request."  What might be wrong?

There could be a couple issues that keep you from participating in mobile alerts from an artist.

  1. We may not support your carrier. Currently we support AT&T, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, and T-Mobile phones for SMS text messaging.
  2. You may be sending in a signature along with your SMS message. Turn off your signature before sending text messages. Check your phone manual on the specific process for your phone.
I don’t want to receive alerts anymore. How do I unsubscribe?

You can unsubscribe from mobile alerts at anytime. This information is provided to you in the first message you receive from the mobile list. Normally you would text in END or CANCEL and the artist name to 30303. To stop all alerts from 30303, text STOP ALL to 30303. Side-load (or Side-loading)

Side-loading is the process of transferring data between a computer and a mobile phone, most often through the use of a USB cable.

The act of sending a text-based message using a mobile phone.
